Key Secret to Success in Affiliate Marketing…A Good Business Plan

If you plan on making serious money with Affiliate Marketing and maybe replacing your current full time job, you have to treat Affiliate Marketing as a serious business. As with any other serious business you need to sit down and develop a business plan. Your business plan needs to set out a strategy, identify your goals and lay out a blueprint that you are going to follow to become successful. Your business plan should include a clear mission statement that clearly states who you are and what you are going to accomplish. If you know what your goals are and what you want the end result to be your plan to get there becomes much easier. A properly written business plan will help you identify the essential elements that you must have to become successful. Here are some of the key elements that you need to address in your business plan.

(1) What product or service are you going to market

(2) What need is that product or service going to fill

(3) What type of client or buyer will you be targeting

(4) What reason will the buyer have to purchase that product from you

(5) How are you going to reach your buyers, using keyword searches that attract your customers or through an email campaign, or both

(6) What financial resources will you need to start your business

(7) What skills do you bring to the table

(8) What aspects of the business will you need to outsource

If you are just getting started in Affiliate Marketing some of the point above may be a little intimidating and you may not know exactly where to go to get the information or how to determine what product or niche you should be in or where to find the customers that are looking for what you are going to market. There are a number of resources on the Internet that are free and will help you determine all of the elements above except the financial resources that you have and you personal skills. As a new marketer, you need to get very familiar with Google and the resources that they make available. The other resource that is free and easy to use is Clickbank. Google can tell you what markets and product are hot and in demand. By using their keyword tool you can find out what terms people are using to search for the products or services they want to buy. Once you have an idea about what product or niche you want to market, you can go to Clickbank and find someone that has that product and is looking for Affiliates to help the market their product.

 

Two other very key things that you must have that is really not part of your business plan but you must have is, determination and patience. Regardless of what you might read elsewhere, Affiliate Marketing is not a get rich quick scheme. There are some ways to short cut the process and I will share one of the resources that I have used that has really helped me a lot in the bio of this article. Even though Affiliate Market is not a get rich quick scheme, it can be very lucrative and may be exactly what you are looking for. When you have found the right product and niche, and you have motivated customers coming to your website, they will become paying customers and your income will start to grow. As you refine your skills and add more products and websites to your arsenal, you just might be able to quit that day job.

 

Do yourself a favor, jump start your business and save some time a money and hook your wagon to someone who has been there and done that. The person that simplified it for me’ was Alex Malave. There are other people out there and a lot of gurus promoting all kinds of bells and whistles and programs. This guy is the real deal. His methods are simple, cost effective, (you won’t spend much money to get your business up and running) but it will be very profitable.
